Twenty years ago, private equity wasn’t a “thing”. In 2022, even people who aren’t involved in the investment world throw the term around. How many of us really know how private equity works? How is it like normal Real Estate Investing?  Are private equity firms like REITs (Real Estate Investment Trusts)? Can anyone invest in one? What sorts of projects do they take on?

I was in the dark about a lot of these questions until I spoke with Avi Krispine, Partner at Claria. Partner at the newer firm that is developing hundreds of rental- and condo units across the city, Avi tells us about how he started Claria. He explains how private equity investing works in the Real Estate field.
